The alignment

1. The alignment

This alignment runs between the main existing or planned job and business areas of Brest's conurbation, dense residential areas and the major projects to develop amenities that Brest métropole océane has undertaken (urban renewal operations for the Europe -Pontanezen and Recouvrance neighborhoods, an urban project for Saint Martin, and the Capucins plateau development). 27% of the population of greater BMO and 38% of jobs will enjoy direct service less than 450 meters from the proposed alignment.

The consultation report presented to the Urban community council on April 27 of last year, which was drawn up following public consultation meetings in member towns of the BMO conurbation and in neighborhoods in Brest enabled 2 stations to be added along the line (between Hermitage and Europe: the Verny station and between Coat ar Gueven and Octroi: the St Martin station).

2. 3D illustration of the alignment

To give inhabitants of Greater Brest the utmost information about the Tramway project, a 3D mockup of the light rail line was created. Thanks to HD digital photos provided by Brest Métropole Océane, the mockup was generated in record time. The frontages along the alignment were given a full texture treatment, whose result provides accuracy exceeding anything done to date in France. The Vectuel company designed the mock-up and used the Microsoft game engine (Unreal Tournament) to model it, making its content totally interactive.

By clicking on each station in the mini-website to discover the line, you'll find video excerpts from the mockup.
