Mandating the construction

Brest métropole océane chose to delegate project management for the construction of the East-West  line of the light rail system for the Greater Brest area.

The SemTram group (made up of the companies Sem du Tcsp and Egis Rail) has been designated by BMO and commissioned to create the first line (running from East to West) of the public transportation system with private right-of-way for the Brest conurbation. SemTram is in charge of the operational management of the project and works in close collaboration with Brest Métropole Océane's Tramway working group and the urban council's decision makers. The entire collaboration is based on compliance with the predefined schedule and budget which are structured around distinct phases.

The light rail project is also built in partnership with neighborhood Advisory councils, Chambers of commerce and guilds, Trade and other associations, residents, other local or regional authorities, the French State and its services.
